Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login:
    1. Sign in using an account registered before January 1, 2020 (e.g., user_10234).
    2. Credentials available here: link
  2. Navigate to Profile Settings:
    1. Go to the profile edit page at https://www.airbnb.com/users/edit.
  3. Attempt to Update Information:
    1. Change any editable field (e.g., add a phone number or update the bio).
  4. Save Changes:
    1. Click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
  5. Observe Issue:
    1. An error message appears: "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."
    2. Profile changes are not saved.

Additional Observations

  1. Intermittent Behavior:
    1. Not all users registered before the specified date experience this issue.
    2. Some users report success after multiple attempts, while others consistently face the error.
